why did nabisco stop making ideal cookies?

Why would they ever discontinue making such a fabulous cookie that became so loved by so many people? There was only one store in our little town that carried them. I thought I was the only one who really missed these cookies! I don't buy cookies or pudding any more, but I would buy Ideal Bars and Spoon Candyso would many baby boomers. I had always kept an eye out for these and time to time I would find them (and buy a few boxes!!! Nabisco is not afraid of experimenting with its Oreo flavors.
